Delete your MARCO Chat account

Delete immediately in the app

1. Open MARCO Chat and unlock your account.
2. Open Profile, then Delete account.
3. Read the warning, type DELETE and confirm.

The authenticated in-app flow deactivates the messaging identity, revokes active sessions, devices and push registrations, removes the server profile and profile media, deletes account mappings and removes user-owned encrypted media from MARCO storage. Local account material is then destroyed on that device.

Request deletion without the app

If you cannot open the app, send a deletion request to AMAAR ONE LTD. Include your exact MARCO username and the approximate date the account was created. Do not send a password, PIN, destruction code, recovery phrase, seed phrase or private key. We will reply with a proportionate account-control verification step before deletion.

This opens your email app with a prepared request to support@melega.app. If no email app opens, write to that address with the subject “MARCO Chat account deletion request”.

What remains

Deletion does not weaken end-to-end encryption and cannot withdraw copies already delivered to another person’s device, their exports or screenshots. Encrypted historical events may remain in shared rooms or on recipient devices. MARCO cannot decrypt those events. Server-side encrypted room events remain for the lifetime of the room unless they are redacted or expire under the room’s disappearing-message policy. The current deletion workflow does not keep a separate MARCO account or profile record after deletion.
